POS 2.0: How much does a preorder get you? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:18 AM PDT Hi everyone, here's an enhanced pack opening simulator (you can now pick which set you want to open packs in, and it'll repeat the results 10,000 times to get an average). My hope is that this tool could be helpful in understanding how much value preordering or buying packs from a pack-based expansion provides. With these new smaller-sized expansions, new players may benefit more from buying packs in larger expansions in order to get more cards added to your collection for the same number of packs (smaller expansions are going to get a lot more duplicates). When you consider opening packs as a means to getting new content, the figure you want to think about is 'cards missing'. If you spend Y dollars to open N packs and are missing 3 cards, then you basically just bought the expansion, good job! Of course the number of cards someone needs to feel like they are participating in the new expansion is gonna vary widely, which is why I made this calculator! So for instance, the pre-order gives you 50 packs. On average*, opening 50 packs means you will be missing: Common cards: 1.96 not bad! I know that for Moons of Elsweyr (which, FTR, I did not preorder), there were a number of common cards that had a big impact on the meta (looking at you, Slinking Jackal and Midnight Trespasser), or at least my deckbuilding! But say you didn't preorder and spent 3000 gold on 30 packs, in that case you'd be missing on average: Common cards: 12.57 That's not a ton different, really! Of course you'll also get less dust from dusting duplicates if you open fewer packs, but the point here is to spend money to get new content, not turn money into dust in order craft new content. What you'll find if you run your own numbers is that--for the amount of new content per dollar spent--you hit diminishing returns really quickly for small sets like Moons Of Elsweyr and Jaws of Oblivion, and that's because the majority of your cards from pack openings are common, and the pool of commons is relatively small, which means you have a lot of duplicates. Compare the amount of soul gems you get from trapping duplicates in opening 50 packs of Core cards vs 50 packs of Moons of Elsweyr: Core: 96.77 MoE: 1346.50 That's a huge difference! If you're new to the game and have a finite amount of money to spend and want to maximize the number of cards you get, that means you definitely should not preorder new sets until you've fleshed out the larger sets like Morrowind/Skyrim/Core. *see website for disclaimers [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:38 AM PDT Just did this and when trying to use the Hall (I had plenty of dragons in my deck) it asked me which lane I wanted to use and then didn't summon anything. Still cost a support use. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 05:44 AM PDT I notice there has not been a card dump yet of the remaining cards. I don't know who does that or how they do it, but I really depend on that for the first card discussion vote every release. Any idea what's up? Thanks a lot in advance. [link] [comments]
So I just got back to playing this game and I notice everyone in Ranked play has high level decks Posted: 07 Oct 2019 07:48 AM PDT I played this game going back all the way to beta but had taken about a year off and just made a new account on a new device. My rank is 12 which I assume is still the starting rank and every time I attempt ranked play my competitor either has a very good well synergized deck with cards I've never seen before and multiple supports or just sits there not playing anything for 3 turns. Shouldn't I be facing other new players with similar card collections? I feel like these good players in a starter rank may have purposely deranked like in other games and I'm just wondering if this is normal. I'm really getting wrecked and when I played previously it was typically a very balanced match. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Are we still getting an in-game tournament mode? Posted: 07 Oct 2019 03:46 AM PDT A little over a year ago, when the client change was still looming, CVH teased us with This Post about the possibility of an in-game tournament mode that could be implemented eventually into the new client. With the idea being community run tournaments could take place there, as well as major events like the Masters series etc. However, we recently got a new event system without this feature (not complaining, I know it all takes time). I'm wondering if this is still on the to-do list? Or has it been put to the back burner to make time for other things? [link] [comments]

Manipulating Forces of Destruction Deadra pool question. Posted: 07 Oct 2019 12:53 AM PDT I just randomly thought of this and wanted to know if this is how it will work or not and if others have thought about this too. FoD states "Summon random Daedra with total cost 10". We should be able to manipulate the card pool it can draw from and possible deadra combinations it summons with how much space we have on our board right? If I only have 1 space open and use FoD it should always tutor out a Dremora Markynaz right? (The only 10 cost daedra of the top of my head, correct me if I am wrong) [link] [comments]

Posted: 06 Oct 2019 10:37 PM PDT Like the title says. What do you guys think are the must craft legendarys from jaws of oblivion? I will probably have around 20 k gems. [link] [comments]
Posted: 07 Oct 2019 08:46 AM PDT I used to be a Hearthstone player. But the fact that I put time and ( yes ) money in cool cards that were going to be "erased" of the normal versus was frustrating. So I joined ESL, that didn't have that system, also because TES is my favourite license. But looking at what the new expansions bring us, how OP some cards are compared to others with equal cost. I believe this system is the only solution to balance things out. I don't know if you see / agree with what I mean, but would love to see what you think of it [link] [comments]

Help for a clueless IOS Player. Posted: 07 Oct 2019 11:32 AM PDT Hello everyone! I've already posted this on the forums and even direct messaged them on instagram and posted on the face book but I am at a loss. Here is what I posted: Good afternoon! I am unsure where I am supposed to go for this but I have played on IOS for a couple years now under the username Bushwackin. But now, it will not let me directly log in with my bethesda account and is making me use game center, bringing up an error code whenever I do not log in with game center. On my non game center account, I have spent 100+ dollars and have built many decks and it is kind of scary to think I cannot log into that account. If there is a way to achieve this, please, please reach out to me. I really do not want to loose the account that Ive literally but unbelievable amount of time and effort in. Thank you for your time. If you know of a fix, please let me know. I just want to play on my old account that I put so much time into. [link] [comments] |
