13 Minute game against the worst kind of player

This player started spamming "a fine display" at 53 HP when I was at 4 HP and just went afk, hoping I'd surrender. When he came back, I was at 20 HP and he lost all of his creatures. He then proceeded to play Golden Saint and repeatedly spam "a fine display" while waiting his turn timers to run out, but not disconnecting. He was physically there, because he was able to spam his taunt. After some rounds I got Balgruuf from my Balmora Masterspy, and apparently my opponent had not been paying attention to the game, because he lost to Balgruuf. :)

    What a complete idiot.

Did something change at the start of this month?

    Posted: 10 Jul 2020 03:57 AM PDT

At the risk of sounding bitter, I'm just wondering if like a bunch of really good people are returning to the game or if the meta evolved a lot or if a lot of people came into a bunch of in-game money recently or something, because since the start of the month I haven't been able to win basically more than 1 in every 6 games in ranked.

Seriously, idk if I'm just bad at the game all of a sudden or all of my decks are actually garbage and I was just getting lucky before but I just can't win with any decks that I have, despite making it into rank 1 in the last few months.

I feel like I'm going insane, every deck I come up against seems to have that stupid card that turns every card in your deck into a random dragon and gets fuckin Alduin when I get them down to 1 health with two full lanes. or that other one that gives you the 8/9 guard dragon and the support card that lets you summon 3 dragons.

I guess I have a chip on my shoulder atm because it feels like I'm coming up against a bunch of decks stuffed to the brim with expensive ass cards which beat out a lot of my cheap, but carefully crafted ones by default. I sorta made it a goal for myself to git gud at this game without spending any real money and until this month I've been doing great.

Idk honestly I'm starting to just not have fun playing at all, if I'm not coming up against dragon decks or invade decks then I just seem to play stupidly anyways because I'm just tilted all the time because I can't win!! It makes me wonder if this game is even worth playing at all, I have had tons of fun playing it in the past and it's the only CCG I actually enjoy because I'm a big elder scrolls fan (tried playing HS and the aesthetic was just too cartoony for me). Maybe I just don't need a CCG in my life, it seems like it's bad for my mental health.

TL:DR: why have I not been able to get out of the rank 5 snake this month when I was hitting rank 1 consistently since March?

Another post about Ayleid Guardian Shenanigans

![img](mf4lpj9s7w951 " I'm sure everyone's tired of Ayleid Guardian shenanigans, but this one was satisfying because my draw was just too perfect. ")

Turn 11: In hand was 2xDark sacrifice, dwarven centurion, Midnight burial. They had board advantage. I had small creature on board (idr which). I was in pretty bad shape. I drew Ayleid, dropped it on board. It survived their turn.

Turn 12: I drew Divayth's experiments, used it, betrayed my small creature to get 6 total Ayleids, followed by dark sacrifice of a wounded Ayleid for a total of 7 Ayleids.

Turn 13: I had well over lethal, but I drew another Ayleid, so I dropped it on board just for symmetry, then finished the game. Lucky they didn't have red year for some reason lol.

P.S. I feel like there should have a been a title associated with this "Have 8 Ayleid Guardians on board at once".
