Elder Scrolls: Legends Ya Love To See It

Haven’t played in years, want to try it out again.

    Posted: 12 Jul 2020 05:15 AM PDT

Hello folks, I haven't played the elder scrolls legends in a couple years, it was one of the most fun card games I have played just took a break to grind other games and then magic arena came out.

I had a pretty extensive collection, pretty much had all the meta decks at my time and all the legends I could want (thanks twitch rewards before nerf) side note, are those still a thing?

I played back when mage tokens, and scout ramp were amazing decks and quit shortly after the three colour pair decks were released. I remember grinding to legend just before I quit to say I did it.

Anyways, I was wondering if it would be easy enough for me to jump back in and start playing and competing or will it take me a lot of time to catch up and craft all the needed meta cards?

Some afterwords about SirProok's "master series"

    Posted: 12 Jul 2020 12:37 AM PDT

As lots of you know, just yesterday SirProok's tournament had ended. As a participant of every qualification and finalist, I would like to describe what this "master series" actually was. To begin with, i'd like to say that it was truly biggest tournament since Warpmeta. But that is all about similarity between these two tournaments and all good aspects about Prook's one too. Now let's talk about problems arising during the tournament, pure deception and fraud

First of all let's compare number of participants in first qualification and the rest. In first one there were nearly 60 players (in the fist tour) and suddenly all these players find out that format of the tournament is swiss, totally unplayable format for Tesl, i will answer why in comments if someone needs. Prook argued it that swiss it more skillful, ok, maybe, but not with format he used to it on battlefy. The main aspect after win/lose points wasn't your win rate or even difference between win and lose number, it was your opponent's win rate. You ask, what's wrong with that, so it is better to lose 0-2 than 1-2 and win 2-1 than 2-0 with that format. Absurdly, doesn't it? So after find out what this tournament actually is in second qualification took part only 23 players.

Next problem was broadcast. As you know SirProok streams on Facebook. Hardly noone watch Tesl on Facebook. I was asked many times "where can i watch the games?" And people were disappointed that it is there. Twitch always was classic platform witch gathered together thousands viewers on big Tesl tournament.

Big problem for everyone was that there wasn't hardly any information about tournament on battlefy. No information about format, we find out how works qualification points to final only after second qualification. And u know what? U should take part in every 4 qualification, or u won't get to final.

Let's go to the biggest question that tournament left us. In first posts on Reddit, on his streams, in every place he can Prook shout out that it will be biggest tournament, it will have cool prize pull, course he find out sponsors, interested in game and that he open patreon to make bigger prizes. So, the patreon was 200 dollars, where 100 goes to participants and 100 for cast. Half of the total amount for cast. Okay, that's a lot, but you organise it by yourself, so it's ok. But lets see what we get in the end. The patreon stopped on about 110 dollar, not a lot but even half of it will be good reward for participation and winner's effort. When yesterday's final ended we asked "where is the money L̶e̶b̶o̶w̶s̶k̶i̶ Prook". Guess what he answered? - I don't noticed that there won't be any money prizes as it was not important to coordinating the finals. I know that not less than three of eight including me finalists played that tournament with so many qualification only because money prizes were announced. You say 50 dollars isn't a lot money, but it is half of my months salary now, and that money will be very useful for ll_phoenix, who won the tournament and has little child. For me money was never main part of any tournament. I just love this game and any competitions, but i and many other European and Asian players won't join that tournament without real reason, course it take time at night for us, and we change our sleeping time to hmm.. nothing?

What is my own main claim to Prook with this tournament aside from deception with prizes. I asked him not to shame good name of Master Series, and rename his tournament just into SirProok's series or any other, course there's no similarity between his tournament and the original one. But he decided to use this name as trickery to get our money, participant in it, get viewers on streams.

In the end I'd like to thank SirProok for his tournament and ask him to not organise any more, because it disgrace TesL.

P.s. tx for reading this long post, i won't wright it, if all i said above is only my opinion

Need some tips and advice on Therana + Soulshred build

    Posted: 12 Jul 2020 11:44 AM PDT

So last league I made it to Legend for the first time with my self made decks (yay!). This time around I wanted to experiment with Therana + Soul Shred.

The idea is to have lots of draw. Get soul shreds with Therana, and decimate the opponent's deck.

As I was trying to experiment today - I have a 12 loss streak trying to implement this into my current builds. Which was a monumental failure. And then into decks built for the sole purpose of this.

The problem is something of the same I struggled with when experimenting with mill decks. Namely - it is hard to get:

    1: Early board control
    2: Card advantage
    3: Drawing power
    4: Board clears

... while at the same time sitting on these cards to pull of a Therana - Soul Shred - Draw - Soul Shreds combo.

What complicates matters is this. Endurance decks have the ramp, green has the mad draws. But if I make a green/blue/purple deck I have to increase the card limit to 75 cards. Which is really unpredictable and hard to pull off.

Currently this deck is just based on 3 cards. Therana and 2 soul shreds. I'm having a severely hard time making this win condition actually functioning.

Anyway... any help or advice appreciated. Not aiming for legend this league. I just want to have fun pulling this combo off successfully at least 50% of the time. Currently on a 12 loss streak lol.

What strategies and tactics can I implement to pull this off better?

Is this game still playable without paying?

    Posted: 11 Jul 2020 06:12 PM PDT

It seems like at a certain point you can compete at a top level without having a full legendary or epic deck. I bought a deck before but it was okay. I've tried so many combinations. You just can't beat people with the best decks. At this point will I have to start paying to compete or just rely on luck and hope they aren't that good?
