Cards that really shine in Micro Mirror Gauntlet (a.k.a. it's the hour of the boar!)

Cards that really shine in Micro Mirror Gauntlet (a.k.a. it's the hour of the boar!)

Had a really good time with this gauntlet (26 wins), so I'd like to share my observations. Ungolim and Galyn are obvious (or OPvious?); twice the shuffle, half the deck size. You can even make a game plan around this, which I did.

But also some underplayed card were totally bonkers there, let's start with my favorite: the {{{Wild Boar}}} opener. Yes, you heard right. They move at the beginning of each turn to make room for another mirror summon. Works also with Shadowscale Hunter as another Redditor pointed out, but I found him less reliable.

Also great: {{{Boneweaver}}}. You will ALWAYS have a double in your graveyard to trigger his effect, and that could even be an unique... like Ungolim waiting for round 2 of the double-shuffle ruse. I've had several games with 12 Brotherhood Assassins in my deck. I didn't know where to put them all on board, lol.

Apart from that, everything that can transfer value from the Mirror Lane to the right lane, and clearing it in the process, is great. And that is more than just move actions. Haunting Spirit. Xavara Atronach. Umaril the Unfeathered. Even Rising of Bones.

Here's my deck in case you are interested: SPAIrggOqcnwqosinoyHALnMdhhUvVbYqksmovnAyokWAA

It started out as Animal Scout, but then I found that I never was able to activate Shadowgreen Elder. I even had two games where wild Beastcaller would give me a Prized Chicken to sit in my Mirror Lane and block it's effect. So I went to pure Aggro Scout with optimized gauntlet rule exploit.

I used this deck on my last two runs (7-3, 9-1), thought I'd share: SPAInRrgoOcIxcaAcfdhALncdIoenLnMfiwdqyfhymtNAA

This deck is designed around the idea of maximizing the mirror lane's value by moving creatures out of it. I won 6 Assassin mirrors with this thing. The only downside is it can get steamrolled by tri-color invade (along with, I imagine, most decks in this gauntlet), so you could try adding a tech against invade, idk.

Some of the standout values here are:

Shadowscale Hunter (Veteran: Move). This card loves this gauntlet because played in the mirror lane it's 8/6 stats for 3 that clears out (and gets cover!) after the next turn so you can mirror again.

Shadow Shift: seems obvious but it's worth saying, this card is nuts in this gauntlet because it lets you move creatures out of the mirror lane.

Shrieking Harpy: any shackle is extremely good because it can clog up your opponent's mirror lane, preventing them from trading and summoning two.

Dune Smuggler/Dune Stalker: both of these, when summoned in mirror lane, let you take advantage of the effect while putting only one creature in the mirror lane (the copy gets moved to shadow). One unintuitive effect: if you have a creature in shadow when you summon a Dune Kitty in mirror, the Dune Kitty you move to shadow can bounce the shadow creature back to mirror.

Soul Split: because this destroys your creature, when played on the last creature in the mirror lane, it puts 3 bodies on the board, which is absolutely bonkers for 2 cost.

    This gauntlet is fun

A new experiment I'm working on. I call it 'Lethal Magister.'

Ramp Scout + Martin Septim, and Unite the Houses in gauntlet. Went 3-3 with Unite lol. Martin Septim was fun too. If he was mirrored, you doubled the magicka you gain. I went like 11-6 with that deck? It was mostly just a Ramp Scout, but Martin was hard to resist. Ayleid Guardian was good too.
