Posted: 06 Feb 2021 08:18 AM PST A Covenant Midrange (your humble servant) against Guildsworn Invade (some random opponent). An Oblivion Gate on board with an Invasion Vanguard on the random opponent's side, a Bleakcoast Troll and a Sower of Revenge on your humble servant's side. We are on turn 5 or 6. No rune broken. The Gate is a 0/7 at level 5. I have a couple of Rapid Shot in hand, which I intend to use the next turn to put the Gate at 5 so that I can kill it with the Troll. Random opponent plays Unexpected Arrival. Unexpected Arrival summons Fetcherfly Golem. The Gate gives the Golem a random charge. Random opponent kills Sower with the Golem. Sower damages the random opponent breaking their first rune. The rune triggers a prophecy. The prophecy is a Lightning Bolt, which the random opponent uses to put my Troll down to 1 before proceeding to kill it with the Vanguard. Then, I don't know what happened, because I left the room, and the defeat screen was already up when I went back. Pretty sure it didn't matter anyway. Because I already know what really happened, and it happened more than one year ago. I'm thinking of writing down a list of Invade players during this season, and post it on Reddit at the beginning on the next. No shame, no insults, no nothing. Just as a PSA: if you face these random opponents, be careful because they may be randomly run Invade. [link] [comments] |
