Card Discussion Thread - Necrom Mastermind Posted: 22 Apr 2020 12:58 AM PDT | Drem yol lok, wunduniik. Welcome to the latest card discussion thread. Today, we'll be discussing Necrom Mastermind. Please feel free to talk about anything you find interesting about the card: design, effect on the meta, the art, sounds, animations, lore or anything else. https://preview.redd.it/fe7edaitobu41.png?width=356&format=png&auto=webp&s=3c8e2aca28bbcfd9f4f5c9841670298c5db1349c Set: Core Example Decklists: - Last Gasp Assassin by SioulReinerg: SPAImxefxDcfspbLqcxdAJbOoOvJqejHiRitfAnuAIdKcybwoefLoEhllo
Strategy: - Last Gasp effects are slower than Summon effects, but as a result tend to be more powerful. Necrom both speeds up Last Gasp effects and allows you to double-dip on them.
- A few cards have very powerful Last Gasps that would benefit from this card. Here's a list of them.
- {{Firepot Spider}}, while its Last Gasp is fairly weak, is interesting in that it damages itself. This allows it to double-dip on its effect, dealing 2 damage instead of 1. Still not sure why you'd run it over {{Skaven Pyromancer}} or {{Tiny Dragon}}, but the combo's there if you need it.
- The same holds true for {{Blastbones}}, although that card is somehow even worse than Firepot Spider.
- {{Balmora Spymaster}} with Mastermind is a powerful combo. If you get lucky with your rolls, you can get two 7+ creatures off of him.
- {{Elusive Schemer}} can create more copies of itself.
- {{Hannibal Traven}} will play all his actions and then relearn them to play them again (if I'm wrong about that please tell me, I'm not 100% certain if it works like this). If he learned 3 lightning bolts, you can deal 24 damage to your opponent's face with this combo.
- {{Indoril Archmage}} can practically clear a lane with his ability and survive to do it again. A very powerful late-game combo.
- {{Eclipse Baroness}} can generate extra cards, which never hurts.
- You can double-dip on {{Haunting Spirit}}'s buff.
- You can double-dip on {{Determined Supplier}}'s magicka gain.
- Because of the way {{Headless Zombie}} is worded, you can get two copies of your card instead of one.
- {{Sower of Revenge}} and Mastermind are a strong combo, but gimped by the fact that you have to do it in Ebonheart, which isn't exactly burn colors. This combo works better if you get a Sower from {{Mythic Dawn Informant}}.
- I'm not sure how {{Shadowmere}}'s Last Gasp works with Mastermind. Does the current Shadowmere get shuffled into your deck or is it a copy? Someone please tell me. If it's the latter than you have a Charge creature duper.
Trivia: Necrom is a city in mainland Morrowind. It belongs to House Indoril, the main backers of the Tribunal Temple. Necrom is seen in Arena, but not in any other game. <-- Previous Discussion: Card Discussion Thread - Hive Defender --> Next Discussion: The next thread will be {{Supreme Dragon}}. submitted by /u/Karimo101 [link] [comments] | |

Are Dark Brotherhood cards played at all? Posted: 22 Apr 2020 07:57 AM PDT There is a huge discounted pack with dark brotherhood story plus some packs. I'm considering buying it, but it seems like no competitive decks contain any cards from that set. submitted by /u/Yaroslavorino [link] [comments] |
Blades Stalwart carried me through 6 consecutive arena matches. I was at 2 losses. Now I won all matches. This is one of my new favorite cards. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 05:30 PM PDT |
This deck is soooo satisfying to win with. No, it is not top tier. Just something fun to play with. Posted: 21 Apr 2020 02:45 PM PDT |
