This is my archer build, it went 17 - 3 over 2 runs. The key here is capitalizing and playing a little defense on the Champion Lane. My build is aiming for turn 4 lethal.

By far they most impactful plays are 1-drops on turn 1 without the ring.
Deepwood Trapper is disgusting against the prevailing Monk deck in this meta, since she kills yellow 1-drops and foils the attack-twice benefit for anything that can trade well with her.
Brotherhood Suspect is also really strong, both hold items well.
there's a lot of room for adjustments for 2-drops. Mournhold Traitor is an obvious omission in my build: I found that controlling the field lane was too important to let him screw it up. You might feel different.
I opted for a lot of prophecies since this meta is so hyper aggressive.
items have a huuuge impact because none of us are accustomed to doing the mental math of spotting our opponent's paths to next-turn lethal when a lowly Thieves Guild Recruit can deal 10 damage next turn if your opponent is holding two items.
movement is nice because you can play your vulnerable Rihad Horseman in the shadow lane, Shadow Shift it to the field lane, slap on a Scimitar and smorc for 14 damage!
As player 1, hard mulligan for a 1-drop unless you've got a 2-drop.

The number one thing that makes the monk build (that seems to be the prevailing deck among high-ranked players) so good is its recovery via Drain. If I had a fourth run, I'd add some of the cheap green drain creatures here, and maybe more Move effects.
