PSA: Redundant 2 copies of premium alt art Mulaamnir are soultrappable for 2400 soul gems

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:06 AM PST

Because some of you are not sure or do not know how:

You can indeed soul trap those redundant 2 copies of premium alternate art Mulaamnir from today's New Year's Resolution Bundle for 2400 soul gems.

You just need to use mass soul trap function in your collection WHEN soul trapping OTHER cards. So if you do not have any other soultrappable cards, go get some - the quickest way is buying a pack for 100 gold or you can grind your daily quests for a pack or go for some 3-win reward card hoping you got soultrappable card (the slowest way).

Happy New Year to everyone and may TESL live forever!

Edit: Do not be confused that the soul trapping of those redundant Mulaamnirs shows no animation / no soul gems count. Those 2400 soul gems are added to soul gems balance anyway.

    Amazing New Year Offer

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 09:11 PM PST

I believe you should be allowed to gloat if you finish a ranked ladder season at #1 with a singleton deck, so that is exactly what I am going to do!!!!!! ;)

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 11:03 PM PST

Today is the proudest day of my TES:L life, as I finally got my first #1 ladder finish and I did it while playing my singleton telvanni list almost exclusively......!

I know it may not mean as much this month as it would in the last few months as players like Rosspierdol, Flow, AlphaV, Thuldir have left the game and Eyenie only played the game for a few days this month.... but for me it was still a goal that I had set myself in August and after 5 months of refining and grinding with the deck I was finally able to do it today......

The ladder was still quite tough specially in the last week and I got fierce competition from itroy32.tq, trading #1 and #2 spots all month who could have easily passed me if was able to play on the last day.....

I know I have posted the list several times, but I will do it again.....

    https://www.legends-decks.com/deck/66530/singleton-telvanni-is-like-a-box-of-chocolates

    Deck code:

    SPCXrgakbDxueQfRgsgujVoeovoEoMpeqyrCxjaVblbObUsHdVvKeFgOhUwHyinwwwsmvPbWeXgwhSjHxhspmcmmmxqkqFdojykukPxdnNpPqgqoyBqBuGvDdvxSigiylIvZlCrPaAjtlimOtDohlHqTuiAAAA

JoO was the biggest buff to the deck....

the list does however requires a lot of experience to pilot well and not very straightforward to play but let me assure you once you get the hang of it, is very fun and can make insane comebacks and can win games out of nowhere with the siege combo that no other deck can accomplish.....

Goblin scout and mid-BM (or mid-BM based dagoth and guildsworn) are the worst matchups for the deck.

If anyone wants to see me play the list you are welcome to send a friends request and watch me in-game anytime.... as I think I will still be playing it next month and maybe until the servers shut down.... :)

And last word on the meta....

Mid-assassin finished #2 and mid-dominion #3, both lists are aggressive mid-blue with alfiq conjurer top end which is tier 1 imo, you can also do this in telvanni, dagoth, guildsworn and tribunal.....

Goblin scout is also tier 1 worthy and was represented in top #10....

I think this is followed by crabscription with neutral synergy, mostly in spellsword but can be done in other colors as well, and that is high tier 2.....

    P.S.

Congrats to AZZ-Shadow on top #10 finish and for the moral support all month.... :)

    Edit:

I am going to post the link of my match against W to show off the high roll potential of the deck..... i hope W doesnt mind.... wait for turn 6..... :)

Deck Checker Log Analysis for December 2019

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 05:32 AM PST

I've just update the deck-checker web service to include the new monthly card (Ayleid Guardian), and while at it, I grabbed the latest logs and ran an analysis of deck code usage.

Over December there were 6,754 requests for deck codes, with 493 unique decks.

    The class breakdown was:

    Assassin : 50 Tribunal Temple : 39 Scout : 37 Empire Of Cyrodiil : 32 House Telvanni : 31 House Dagoth : 26 House Redoran : 25 Guildsworn : 25 Warrior : 23 Sorcerer : 23 Archer : 23 Monk : 21 Aldmeri Dominion : 21 Battlemage : 19 Spellsword : 18 Ebonheart Pact : 17 Crusader : 16 Mage : 13 House Hlaalu : 11 Daggerfall Covenant : 10 Neutral : 4 Willpower : 3 Strength : 3 Intelligence : 2 Agility : 1

The top 20 cards across unique decks was:

    Shrieking Harpy : 463 Wardcrafter : 435 Piercing Javelin : 417 Lightning Bolt : 415 Shadow Shift : 374 Thieves Guild Recruit : 347 Odirniran Necromancer : 314 Barrow Stalker : 289 Golden Initiate : 282 Rapid Shot : 275 Crown Quartermaster : 270 Cliff Racer : 262 Edict of Azura : 253 Cornerclub Gambler : 251 Fighters Guild Recruit : 241 Sorcerer's Negation : 237 Ice Storm : 235 Divine Fervor : 229 Hive Defender : 226 Bruma Profiteer : 225

Note, this takes into account 3-of, 2-of and 1-of counting as 3, 2, 1 copies respectively in the above counts.

The top 20 unique cards was:

    Ancano : 144 Galyn the Shelterer : 106 Abnur Tharn : 98 Laaneth : 82 The Gatekeeper : 81 Razum-Dar : 76 Miraak, Dragonborn : 69 Queen Barenziah : 65 Brynjolf : 64 Odahviing : 62 Tazkad the Packmaster : 59 Ayrenn : 59 Ungolim the Listener : 57 Paarthurnax : 52 Mannimarco : 50 Luzrah gro-Shar : 49 Dawnbreaker : 47 Ahnassi : 46 Garnag, Dark Adherent : 43 Martin Septim : 39

Not considering unique deck codes, of the 6,754 requests, the class requests were pretty weighted towards Assassin this month, the top 10 being:

    Assassin : 1451 (50 unique) Aldmeri Dominion : 467 (21 unique) House Telvanni : 458 (31 unique) Empire Of Cyrodiil : 440 (32 unique) Tribunal Temple : 389 (39 unique) Archer : 366 (23 unique) Warrior : 339 (23 unique) Sorcerer : 322 (23 unique) Spellsword : 273 (18 unique) Guildsworn : 266 (25 unique)

    The source comes from:

    1. Reddit posts with deck codes in
    2. Discord Bot (currently 14 servers are running the bot)
    3. Direct access to the web service (e.g. /u/mattoblivium uses !showdeck <code> in his twitch stream to link to the web service)

Daily quest question - "Sumon 50 creatures Wax or Wane."

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 10:11 AM PST

There's a daily quest, which I've just got - "Summon 50 creatures Wax or Wane."

Do you have any suggestions which cards could be used to quickle complete it? I'm asking since I've only found 1x Summon Wax wax/wane type of card, i.e. Alfiq Illusionist... Are there any others that would work for that quest?

Strong finish but I know I'm capable of more. This month I want to reach top 10 but I'm not sure I will have the time. If anyone reading this has reached top 10, how much time did you have to dedicate to maintain/climb to the top 10 ranking?

    So Triumphant Jarl...

    Posted: 01 Jan 2020 03:50 AM PST

Is just Balgruuf, showing slight interest at the shiny new Imperial Banner the steward put up after the Empire wins the Civil War.

Well played. Even if does make Ballin' look like he's just been sat there the whole time only to look up now like "yeah, looks good. Thanks, Proventus. Now back to work".

Altar of Spellmaking Bug, Interactions Not Working

    Posted: 31 Dec 2019 09:38 PM PST

    Hi guys!

I have submitted a feedack ticket to Bethesda regarding an Altar of Spellmaking bug and asked them two questions regarding the empowerment mechanic and Ruin Shambler mechanic. So while I was testing some interactions, I found out that if you draw a dual card such as Manic Jack via Altar of Spellmaking and play it, the game won't allow you to play it. Instead, it will just hover on your screen until the end of game. In one game after the Manic Jack bug happened in that game, the succeeding card draws from Altar of Spellmaking won't allow me to play them. They will just automatically go to my hand. I think the reason why there's a Manic Jack bug is because the system doesn't know how to execute your command of playing a dual card at the SAME time.

Regarding the empowerment mechanic, I experimented on betraying empowered cards and Mystic of Ancient Rites. I found out that if you empower a card, then betray it via Mushroom power, the second copy retains the empowerment. However, if you empower a card via Mystic of Ancient Rites, then use the empowered card on the your next turn and betray to get a second copy, the second copy will not have the empowerment from Mystic of Ancient rites, which is odd for me because in the first example, the second copy exactly copies the first one while in the second example, it does not work that way.

Finally, when you use Midnight Burial and put creatures on your discard pile then play Ruin Shambler, Ruin Shambler does not consume and gain +1/+1 from the creatures of Midnight Burial. I am not sure why this interaction does not work because Ruin Shambler works on any way that you put creatures on your discard pile like trading creatures, burning creatures from deck or hand, etc. Its exception is only Midnight Burial.

If ever you guys would play Altar of Spellmaking and play Manic Jack, you might want to think twice of playing Manic Jack because you'll just get a bug. I haven't tried it on other dual cards like cloak/dagger, etc.

What are your thoughts on Empowerment and Mystic of Ancient Rites interaction and Midnight and Ruin Shambler interaction? Does empowerment and Mystic of Ancient Rites work as intended?
