Best card effect designs? What makes a good card design? Posted: 25 Feb 2022 07:00 AM PST Two that come to mind are Manic Jack and Brynjolf. Why those? I thought about it. It's because they get somewhat better with synergies, but don't entirely rely on them. This makes them consistent while playing them a certain way is still rewarding. Contrast this to a card that is terrible at base, but game-breaking with a synergy. It would feel draw-dependent and would neither feel fun to play or fun to play against. I asked a friend and he said Belligerent Giant, Dushnikh Yal Archer and Shadowfen Priest were some of his favorites because of how flexible they are. Even if the enemy doesn't have a support, they can still have utility elsewhere. Since TESL doesn't have side decks, being good in a variety of matchups is important. Pirate-themed Assassin or Dagoth deck with magic attacks? Posted: 25 Feb 2022 07:37 AM PST How would you go about building one? What are some essential cards? I'm planning one themed around the Camlorn Sentinel since he's an OC in something I'm writing. Planning to use cards like the Lightning Bolt and the arrows that destroy wounded creatures.
